Red Grape Varieties:

Dallas Bartenders

A relatively unknown grape that is used as a blend for Chianti or on its own produces the famous 100% Sangiovese wines labeled Brunello di Montalcino. The grape produces wines that have distinct floral and herbal aromas and sour cherry, raspberry and anise flavors and is known for its distinctive supple texture and medium-to full-bodied. Blended with Cabernet Sauvignon, it produces a smooth texture and lightens up the tannins.

Classic growing areas: Toscana, Italy.

New growing areas: California, U.S.
